Creating a Flipped Vocabulary Teaching Video

Welcome back to my blog! This week we created a flipped vocabulary teaching video with my friends Rabia and Oğuz. Flipped language teaching is basically an approach that makes the students active in learning. A flipped vocabulary teaching video is very beneficial to young EFL learners as it is a visual, short and captivating form of teaching vocabulary. Young learners would easily understand the meaning of the words through the video. We first decided on the subject, it wasn't hard because we all thought the "daily routine" would be best. After that Rabia and I wrote the script of the video and did the voiceovers, Oğuz made the animation and we prepared the quiz all together. Writing a script wasn't that hard we did it easily. The hardest part for me was doing the voiceover because I was concerned if my voice sounded good or not (I don't like listening to my own voice lol) but it turned out ok I guess :) Another frustrating part was, the tool we used for animation (Animaker) didn't have child characters so our characters look kinda old :( Other than that it went pretty well I think ! We decided to create a quiz to go with the video and used Wordwall to do that. It was an easy tool to use so I recommend it if you're preparing a quiz.
