Goodbye For Now

Hi guys💗    Hope you are doing well! This is my last blog post for this term so it feels a bit weird. Before taking this course, I thought that technology and English language teaching  should always cooperate since the modern-day requires modern-day education methods, my thoughts haven't changed; I still think that technology is a huge part of   ELT as our world is consonantly evolving.    Before taking this course I really didn't know much about the things that we did in this course like an infographic or padlet. This course really taught a lot of things that I didn't know. I learned new, fun and creative ways to teach English and I got really inspired by them. Creating things that are used in ELT gave me ideas that I might use in the future myself. For example, I knew about word clouds but I didn’t know how to make them and customize them. Digital Storytelling: How to Meditate in 7 Simple Steps

Hi guys, today I'll share a video that I prepared together with my friends Rabia Yüksel  and OÄŸuz KaleÅŸ . For this digital storytelling task, we had 3 choices ( creating a PSA, How To project, Creating a fictional story) and we decided to choose How to project because we were more interested in it. Meditation was the topic that we chose. I am into meditation and I try to meditate as much as I can so this topic was perfect for me. Rabia did the voiceover, OÄŸuz made the video. I prepared the script and pictures. I did some research about meditation and read several blogs. I used Word to write the script ( Referance 1 , Referance 2  ) and I took the pictures from  Wikihow . Using Word was very easy because I'm very familiar with it. I wrote the script and put the pictures without any difficulty.    Personally, I think digital storytelling is a very good and effective method of teacing. It is visual and audible at the same time so digital s...

Online Higher Education in Turkey during the Pandemic

Image
Hey everyone! Today I am sharing the first infographic I made as an assignment. It is an infographic about online higher education in Turkey during the pandemic. I used  canva  for my infographic. First, I used one of the templates on canva as a base and I made some changes on it to make it more personal and about the subject. If you are going to create an infographic, I strongly recommend canva as it is pretty easy and fun to use. I think creating an infographic is useful to students because it is very eye-catching and visual, it makes the learning process faster and easier. Here's the infoographic I created:                                                           HOPE YOU LIKE IT!
